"Our lunch in cafe 3692 was one of the best meals I had in the Swiss. it is about fifteen minutes to walk from the main bar up, but the reward is a wonderful location with an amazing view, and rest and rest! the cafe...es itself is very stylish in Swiss style, and there is a choice of eating inside or outside. the food itself was excellent. the salat was not only a simple salad of interesting ingredients and wonderful taste. the main course, a beef-casrole, was also good together with beautiful vegetables and again really nice."

"I’m conflicted writing this review. The food was exceptionally delicious but I felt neglected by my waitress. I had the carrot ginger soup with bread, it was spectacular. My chicken Caesar salad was possibly the best I’ve ever had and I have had a lot. And a glass of water as I had been hiking most of the day. The food came in an appropriate amount of time but then a disconnect. Having drunk my water quickly, I asked for a refill. The waitress said she would bring some. 15 minutes later I flagged down another waiter who got me a carafe in 30 seconds. I took my time eating then realized that I had to make a train shortly and asked for my bill from the waitress. Next I see her clearing tables for no waiting customers and she started taking an order from a family who had only been seat for a few minutes. But clearly she had no thought about my request. She seemed like a pleasant enough person but had difficulty focusing. All the other staff seemed efficient, pleasant and focused and as I said, the food was excellent."

"One of the places in the area that had opened a kitchen in the afternoon. The decor is a little old-fashioned. We ordered bites (chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, onion rings... and salads and everything was absolutely amazing. Service was super fast, but grumpy, that's the reason I don't have a 5 star rating."

"As I was the first person to write a TA review of this wonderful bar five years ago, I feel compelled, five years later, to pen an update. I'm happy to say it's even better than I remembered and, since the first time, they now serve panini (not that it could be described as a food bar, thank God). No, it's a proper bar with a good outside space at the back where the bar staff are wonderful and the owner, Alex, is often around to engage with drinkers. We were there during the street festival - every Wednesday in July/August - and despite the rain, Avocado was rocking with a live band, a big crowd and a fantastic atmosphere. It's difficult with bars to put your finger on why exactly they're better than others in the area, but whatever their secret is, they have it. Also there's a good balance between local regulars and visitors - and everyone is given a warm welcome."

"Wer mal Lust hat eine Pizza zu essen in Grindelwald - dem empfehle ich dieses Lokal.- Sehr klein - auch die Sommerterasse ist sehr klein :-)- Nichtraucherlokal auch auf der Terasse- Sehr freundliche - nicht allzu schnelle Bedienung - aber die Freundlichkeit macht alles wett.- Leider ist keine Reservierung möglich.- Pizzas werden auf dem Kuchenblech gemacht und sind in 3 verschiedenen Grössen erhältlich.- Es ist möglich eine mittlere Pizza unterschiedlich zu belegen - für alle die einen normalen Hunger verspüren und doch unterschiedliche Gelüste (pizzamässig) verspüren.- Essen eher im oberen Bereich für eine Pizzeria - aber es lohnt sich"

"C'est bien connu, dans les montagnes suisses, on mange tôt. Arrivé "tard" à Mürren, c'est à dire vers 21h00, avec une faim de loup, j'ai été ravi de me sustenter vers 21h30 à l'Eiger Guesthouse Restaurant. Endroit vivant, les hôtes de l'hôtel vont et viennent, certains s'attablent pour un verre, d'autres pour un menu, le personnel est convivial, sympathique, et efficace. L'atmosphère est conviviale, et les plats goûtus (pizzas de bonne facture, pâtes au lard savoureuses, viande citronnée généreuse). Mais ce qui m'a épaté (et fait chavirer mon coeur) c'est la fantastique assiette de fromage d'une générosité et d'une subtilité inoubliable. Accompagnée de miel et de noix, j'en rêve encore la nuit. Avec un pain idéal. Tout est bon dans ce restaurant que je connais depuis des années, mais ne passez pas à côté des fromages. Et c'est un intolérant aux produits laitiers (industriels) qui vous parle. Leur vieille prune est également un délice. A faire au moins une fois lors de votre séjour dans ce village merveilleux."

"Stayed here for 1 night on our way to Austria. There was a group of 7 of us. We all enjoyed the hotel, evening meal, breakfast and the drinks. The staff were all really helpful and pleasant. The beds were very comfortable. If we are travelling this way again, we will definitely be looking to stay here again!"
