It's very difficult to find delicious and affordable Chinese food near campus, but this place really does the job. The atmosphere is a little decrepit, but the quality of the food makes up for it, highly recommend! View all feedback.
What Nicole Herzog doesn't like about College Café:
I just ordered orange chicken and sesame balls. The orange chicken taste like sweet and sour with the worst kind of wang to it. No soy sauce in bag. The chicken is chewy and the rice is dry. Horrible View all feedback.
If you’ve been there once, I’m sure you know what I mean by one star across-the-board.
I haven’t been here for 24 years (I moved abroad). Went yesterday and was happy to see that nothing has changed. Bonus: I got a huge portion.Vegetarian options: The sesame tofu is excellent.
The bathroom smelled like sewer. 3 people came to $74 and the portions were supposed to be large, but the boxes were 1/2 full. The egg drop soup was gray. The cashew chicken had burnt nuts and slimy chicken. The lo mein tasted weird. We used have it delivered in the 90's and it was really good then. Thought we would give it a try again, won't go back. Very disappointed.
The place is everything you want in cheaper Chinese food it’s tasty and
I gave this place a fair chance a few times and now I’m over it. The rice ALWAYS tastes like soap, and any kind of chicken you get from here is slimy, chewy and brown on the inside. I’m assuming this place is relatively cheap because they substitute chicken for raccoon ankles.Save your time, money and frustration and go literally anywhere else.
