As far as Australian roadhouses are concerned, this establishment rates well above average and is a recommended as a stopover for breakfast or lunch for travellers. Very friendly service and the food quality is exceptionally good! The Georgetown Roadhouse is the 40 minute lunch time stop for the up to 25 passengers who travel on the thrice weekly Trans-North bus from Cairns - Normanton - Karumba and vice versa.The food on offer is OK..pre-prepared sandwiches, pies etc, however the potential is there in today's service driven tourism experience to offer better catering by circulating a limited hot food menu to the passengers and telephoning ahe... I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and it has consistently lived up to its name, meal after meal.
This restaurant is amazing! I tried the homemade soup and the chimichurri beef wrap with Caesar salad. The flavors were incredible and the food tasted fresh.
