"Unser letzter Besuch ist schon ein Weilchen her. Damals waren wir schon sehr angetan von der Küche und dem Ambiente im gesamten Restaurant. Der untere Bereich ist ehr vom Stil her eine einfache Trattoria. Oben ist es mehr ein gemütliches Restaurant. Der Service hat sich im Gegensatz zum letzten Besuch verbessert. Auch im oberen Teil des Restaurants war er stets präsent. Wir hatten Ossobuco und Pizza. Das Ossobuco wurde ohne Gremolata gereicht. Ich denke, es ist in der süditalienischen Küche nicht so üblich. Es hat mir aber auch nicht gefehlt. Der vom Kellner empfohlene Wein passte perfekt. Man hat sich sogar die Mühe gemacht, das Gericht mit etwas frischeren Wurzelgemüsen anzureichen, denn bei den langen Garzeiten ist das Gemüse aus dem Ansatz schon sehr weich. Dieses hier hatte noch etwas Biss. Das ganze Gericht strotzte vor Kraft, und das Fleisch war butterzart. Die Pasta war frisch und selbst gefertigt. Etwas anderes hätte das Gericht auch nicht verdient. Die Pizza war gut und etwas mutiger belegt. In Summe waren wir sehr zufrieden. Ich greife hier auch nach ganz oben in der Bewertung, denn ein Ossobuco habe ich noch nicht besser gegessen. Der Wein war eine Granate. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat ebenfalls gestimmt. Und wenn ich sehe, was hier in der Region für mittlere Leistung für Bewertungen gegeben werden, frage ich mich sowieso immer. Hier muss es einfach Abstand zu den sonstigen Lokalitäten in Gotha aufgezeigt werden. Das Diavolo ist vom Essen und Wein nicht schlechter als z.B. TOP-Italiener in München.An das Original in Italien kommt man aber sowieso nicht heran, da die Urlaubsemotionen nur in der Erinnerung konserviert werden können. Die meisten werden wissen was ich meine :-)."
