"We love the food from this restaurant but usually get a takeaway to enjoy at home. As it was our anniversary we decided to eat in. We knew when booking there would be a time limit on the table but we weren’t quite prepared for how rushed the experience would be. We literally sat down and were then asked what we wanted to order. It was very hurried. Luckily we usually stick with favourite items and knew roughly what we wanted. We ordered using dish names but were then made to quote numbers to the waitress which was a bit odd. Short story cut shorter: starters were served boom! mains were served boom! then out of the door. No complaints about the food (although meat content could have been a bit more generous) but it really wasn’t a relaxing restaurant experience. We felt like fast food customers on a conveyor belt. Sadly, the usually friendly waiter was also rather brusque. We’ll stick with the takeaway next time."

"We have now stopped at this place twice. for the first time, eating was very good, but the staff was rude and unwilling. I thought my assessment was unjust, so I returned and the employees and the hire were a million times worse at the second visit. it was quite clear that they had stopped serving food, why they didn't just say that. they have a waitress that is aloof and rude. they did not labor to tell us what food was available and were uninterested when we asked about what they have. several options have not been served anymore. it was clear that they prefer to serve locals, and I wouldn't advise anyone to go there. it is clear that they only want a certain client in their caffe."

"Not a great experience. A beef wellington was presented as a lamb dish, overall choice was limited for GF. The service was very poor, a bottle of wine was corked (it was replaced however) and despite the owner telling my mother on her 81st birthday that she could have a Creme Brûlée desert, staff had no idea and told her she couldn’t. Then at the end, I requested some water and the waitress, sometime later, brought a bottle to the table behind us and not to us. The food itself was OK but really not deserving of the price tag. A Gordon Ramsey approach tonight would have been brutal."
