Hands down the best hot drinks on a cold day at nearby Liberty State Park. We had delicious hot chocolate, chai latte, and chai hot cocoa . Rich, creamy and not too sweet. View all feedback.
What Alexandra Hasse doesn't like about Cocoa Bakery:
Very disappointed in customer service. No one answers the grand street locations phone. I’ve left multiple messages and moved close by 2 years ago and have tried now to place an order via phone 3x to no avail. Definitely lost my business. View all feedback.
Unfortunately this cute place has a dirty bathroom. Toilet looked like it had not been cleaned in ages!! I was shocked about this and as a result I will not be returning. Please, manage your restroom!!!
Always so good. Delicious and very flavorful! Never dry. 10/10 recommend
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Cocoa Bakery. I have been a loyal, local customer, however, when I placed a cupcake order for a really special event (order placed far in advance with clear instructions, credit card on file, etc. , the store completely forgot about my order when I went to pick it up. My order was sent to a different location and the store told me that I should drive an hour to pick up the order and at best only offered me a 20% discount when I complained. They couldn’t even give me new, random cupcakes for free. They did nothing to remedy my situation other than a 20% discount on new cupcakes and trying putting the burden on me to drive an hour to get my cupcakes. They even told me to order them on Grubhub myself. I’m extremely disappointed with the service.
Cocoa has long been our favorite local, Jersey City bakery for all things sweet. From their truffles to birthday cakes and cupcakes to hot chocolate, we love it all. When it came time for desserts for our rehearsal dinner, we knew we needed to treat our loved ones to delicious desserts from Cocoa. They were quick to respond and extremely helpful in answering all our questions as we ordered a selection of cupcakes. They offer a variety of flavors and are willing to customize your order for what you need. We received so many compliments from our guests and the cupcakes disappeared a lot quicker than we expected! The staff at the Grand Street location are also always pleasant and polite and we always enjoy our experience when we visit. We highly recommend considering Cocoa for any of your bakery needs, whether it be for a wedding, birthday party, or just to stop in to grab something incredible to eat!
I would love to try this place but the only time I'm near it, I'm walking my dog and they aren't pet friendly and I'm not the type to leave my dog chained to a pole or order my food from a distance or from a paper menu. My kind suggestion is to change that policy and it'll behoove you based on the simple fact it's a densely populated dog area and people love coffee and pastries. Also, outdoor tables in that small little patio area would be amazing and hey maybe that could be your dog friendly area Genuis ! I'm definitely not a mathematician but if you do this it would make me a coffee shop magician 10% of all increase in sales can be paid Zelle, Cash or Free Coffee and Pastries. Your choice ! Kind Regards, Your Friendly Neighborhood Restaurant Industry Professional The 3 stars are for your effort and understanding I hope to give two more someday Ok then a dog friendly patio area with tables is out of the question also? It's unfortunate that New Jersey is in the Pre historic stages of laws and we are taxed the highest.
