A great place for coffee and breakfast. Bought some local honey while watching bees fly qround the cafe windows.
Staff are really friendly and kind, all smiles. Food is much better than you'd think for a small roadside stop. Also delicious honey to taste and buy.

"I had the potato hash brown with pumpkin bacon from the cabinet (I think). It came with a salad underneath lovely decoration of fresh greens on top, a generous helping of bacon. Very enjoyable was a bigger portion than expected. I couldn't pick up the kawakawa flavor in the green tea, but still refreshing. Staff didn't rush us at all. I recommended this place."

"I initially put a review on Tripadvisor then thought I'd better put it on here to : Best Sandwich Ever. The beef sandwich with avocado has got to be the best sandwich I've every had. The bread is made fresh daily and the ingredients is plenty-full and fresh. Really good."

"We stopped in for coffee and a cake mid afternoon. What a brilliant place! Great look and feel with really nice folks serving. Coffee was awesome and cakes even better. Was very cool they had small size options for the cake as it was great to choose big or small servings. Worked well for my wife and I. Would love to try something from the main menu in the future. It looked great too."

"Perhaps the dinner menu has more options, but the lunch menu has nothing but a bowl chips (hold the aioli) and simple boring with maischips. the personal has not confirmed us. the atmosphere wasn't nice either. maybe they try her luck at dinner otherwise don't waste her time"

"My wife and I stayed in a Motel nearby and the owner of the Motel recommended this restaurant. We visited just as the restaurant was opening for dinner so they were not quite ready. But no problem Elley, our waitress for the evening, made us welcome. She helped us choose a table then explained the day's specials. She quickly brought the glasses of wine that we requested and menus. <br/ <br/ We asked Elley to repeat the specials again and discussed options and preferences. Elley's attention and patience was exemplary though the restaurant was quickly filling.<br/ <br/ My wife chose the Pasta of the day. Tagliatelle with strips of beef in caramelised sauce. It was novel (we have never encountered this dish before) and absolutely delicious. <br/ <br/ I had the Fish of the day. Oven baked Groper dressed with Scallops in a tasty sauce. It was served on a bed of wilted Pak Choy on top of oven cooked potato wedges. This dish too was absolutely delicious. I don't normally eat chips or potatoes but these were so good I simply had too.<br/ <br/ Overall I would summarise by saying that this meal was the best that we have eaten in very long time and the best since we came to New Zealand. Service was excellent and at $89 for a meal that included 5 glasses of wine this was good value. Nothing could be faulted and we would definitely return."
