"Stop through here on your way from Mt. Cook to Christchurch. Honestly, some of the best takoyaki I have ever had. they use a smaller diameter pan which improves the crisp to filling ratio. The Laksa was good and fairly traditional, Malaysian variant I believe. The soup part of it was noteworthy and well balanced.The pad Thai was just OK. This place was hopping! Definitely a known spot, but the staff was friendly, accommodating, and moved quickly.we got seated in 30 minutes, ordered at the counter, and were served 15 minutes later the atmosphere was loud and bright. we sat by the front door, which was freezing as guests left it open all the time. the staff warned us, but there weren't any other seats"

"First time in this relatively new restaurant and we enjoyed so much that we decided to dine the next evening as well. The lamb rack was marvellously cooked. Our group was served by Lucia and she was very professional and made sure everything was in order. Highly recommended restaurant in Lake Tekapo!"

"This was an amazing find! A bunch of us shared a few sharing platters which was good value for the price. There was a huge lamb shank, one slice of a venison and an entire piece of the stuffed squid. The sides were all also prettily plated and the chef executed everything perfectly. It was an amazing meal and I highly recommend this place."

"Excellent food. Ordered the catch of the day, grass fed lamb and high-country stone. The service received was awesome and our friendly waiter Waris really added to the excellent experience and took excellent photos and videos for us in the restaurant. Will recommend to anyone passing by the area to try the food!"

"We were put off from reviews however everyone else was booked out so we gave this place a go. We were pleasantly surprised, food was delicious, lovely service and reasonable prices . Only negative is there was lots of food on other tables needing to be cleared so they could do with extra hands to help clear up around customers Service: Dine in"

"Had a wonderful brunch at this charming place. Nicely decorated little hideout with attention to detail design and interesting back story. The burgers here are great using quality ingredient. Go for the miso broccoli as well! Warm and friendly staff makes you feel right at home in the cold winter. Perfect stop before heading out to the lake visit."

"We called in for a dinner break on the way home to Christchurch and to watch a bit of the cricket. However, there was an exciting final game of ice hockey on the screens but the barman was happy to change to the cricket when that finished. Drinks were promptly served and, despite a large group ordering in front of us, our meals came out quickly too. They were worth the wait. The barstaff were cheerful and helpful. The view over Lake Tekapo is just beauty."
