La Paix is an upmarket classic brasserie. It is an elegant room witrh Art Nouveau decoration. It is a little formal but the service is excellent. It majors on its seafood and fish but does all of its cooking very well. The signature dish is 3 types of fish with choucroute and it was excellent. Good wine list too. Really enjoyed our meal. What Kai r doesn't like about Brasserie de la Paix:
We opted for this restaurant as the decor and menu had the traditional French charm we were looking for. Waiter was attentive and friendly and seemed to be genuinely interested that we had enjoyed the food. My wife had John Dory and I had the mussels. Both good but no real wow. Nice authentic interior. Was very busy on a Friday, the tables are very close. Too bad dogs get into the restaurant. Very friendly service. Great Crépe Suzette.
