What liznewnham doesn't like about Il Gusto:
The owner was very abusive to a female member of staff. He openly had a ‘go’ at her in front customers, slamming down menus and generally being a bully. I stood up for her and told him he shouldn’t treat speak to his staff this way. If he had a issue it should be dealt with back of house. He then said that she was his wife. What a vile man!!! The customers clapped in support of my comments. He kept hanging around so... View all feedback. What Adonis Alexe likes about Il Gusto:
good location, very friendly staff. the room was very quiet, but the restaurant was not busy at all. we had garlic bread as an appetizer and a piece is more than enough for two people. we also ordered the meatballs that were very good, and a pizza with ham pineapple that was ok. it had too much tomato sauce for my taste and could have more ham. price is good for what they get. read moreLocated in Paddington, this restaurant offers an attractive menu and a clean, inviting ambiance with good service. However, some diners found the meals to be uninspiring and overpriced, with one describing the food as disappointing and another comparing it to school cafeteria fare. On the other hand, some patrons enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and tasty dishes, such as meatballs and pizza. Overall, experiences varied from very disappointing to highly recommended, with mixed reviews on food quality and pricing.
