"There are 2 'restaurants' within the Fortress of Louisbourg - Hotel de la Marine, which is for upper-class folk, and Grandchamps, which is for the lower classes. Lower class sounded like much more fun to us! You are seated at communal long tables, so you get to meet other patrons. It really is an experience, not just a meal. We were only given one large pewter spoon to use as a utensil. and big bids that felt like we were wearing bedsheets! The food was good - the fish, mussels, bread & cheese, and apple tarts for dessert. The only part I wasn't too excited about was the vegetable soup. The service was very good - our server was attentive, and quite funny while in character. Would be fun for kids!"

"Were from cheticamp. Just wanted to say we love your food. You never disappoint. We ate supper there tonight and took home a pizza. By far best pizza I've ate in a long time. Your crust, sauce which to me is what makes a pizza along with toppings is exceptionally THE BEST.. thank you and see you soon. We will be stopping in on our trips to Sydney for sure. Worth taking the trip. Again thanks for the great service."
