What ronald swann doesn't like about A-1 Pastry Shoppe:
I recently bought a New York cheesecake from this restaurant, but was disappointed to find that it tasted exactly like the boxed supermarket Jell-O brand cheesecake mix. The texture and consistency were the same, and it was clear that this was not a real cheesecake. I could have made it myself for much cheaper. I paid $11 for something that was not worth it, and I will not be returning. Be cautious of what you are ge... View all feedback.
Pumpkin cream cheese cookies are to die for. Not sweet icing cream cheese icing.
Hi, hi! Wanna think twice about visiting this Bakery? The Owners are very cheap...I mean they paid me 5 bucks an hour!!! They are very dirty as well. If you 'd like a side of coachroaches with your pastries and mice/rats, Then this is the place to come! You know what the most messed up part? When my bosses had the mold taken off the Cakes/Pies in the back, Covering up the Pies with Fruits and covering up the Cakes with more ButterCream Icing and then make me serve it. That was really embarrassing. I always felt bad for people coming here and that 's why I want to put it to an end before someone gets really sick. I have picture Proof of the Dirty racks and Buckets. Plus to top it off, A Cute little Mouse!!! (Don 't know how to post pictures on here though. Hopefully the Health Department sees this post and does something about it. By the way, The Owner goes in the Bathroom, doesn 't wash his hands, and touches the Pastries without wearing any gloves, ewww. Come on, You and your sicko Wife are running a Food Establishment? Pathetic. Plus, The Wife would cough by the Food Products without covering her mouth. I 've burnt myself quit a few times because of the Owners being in a rush and unprofessional. Wanna know something else? Their Second Baker goes over to Produce and digs in the Dumpsters. You know that Nice, Fresh, and Hot Banana Bread you buy for $3.50 a loaf? Well, guess where those Bananas are coming from? Yeah.. The Dumpsters. The Wife hit me in the Crotch before with a Broom Stick and then she yells at me saying how I broke her broom stick right in half. Plus, their Walk-in is really contaminated with mold. I remember The Wife wanted me to clean the Walk-In and I refused to step foot in there. She said if I didn 't do it she was going to fire me. And their Little Second Baker likes fighting with minors so beware. I mean like the guy is 64 years old fighting with a 17 year old. How professional is that? Oh, also, Him and the Two Owners will purposely drop Cookies on the floor, pick them right back up, putting them on trays to be severed to customers. I remember some older woman asking him a Question about the Pies, He would get pissed and he banged his fist on the Wall by the Register. I use to have customers coming up to me complaining about the Danishes with the little Fruit Flies in them and the Turnovers. So, Like I said, I would think twice about going to this Bakery. And the guy that was fighting with me, Got away with hitting a Minor because the cop that came out was his buddy.
Prices were cheap and people very friendly, but didn't find the cookies tasty. I was really looking forward to yummy cookies...I was disappointed.

This restaurant offers a variety of sweet treats such as cookies, cakes, chocolates, and more. The prices are very affordable, although the quality of the food may not always be the best. However, given the low prices, it's a great deal. It seems like they also have some clearance items, as there were Russell Stover Valentine's Day chocolate boxes available in May.
