What User doesn't like about Fruits of Passion:
Located in trendy and charming Kensington, three of us went there for a late breakfast. Turkish eggs were very good, the omelet was overcooked and nothing special, and the minestrone soup would have been excellent if it was not so heavily peppered, which meant that the other more subtle tastes were obliterated. Ambience is warm and the service was attentive enough. Overall we were underwhelmed. View all feedback.
One of my faves since moving to Kenso six years ago, and I've never been disappointed! Excellent coffee and great menu choices that are a bit different to your standard Melbourne brunch fare. Very reasonably priced too. Great gluten free options. Friendly and efficient service. Eggs poached to perfection which is a rare find these days and all food looks amazing. Had the brassica classica and unlike salads in other Melbourne cafes, it is very moreish and actually a decent portion and filling.
There’s a few brunch offerings in Kensington and we opted for FOP for their spin on the eggs Benny. Theirs is served on a potato hash and drowning in apple cider hollandaise. How divine. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash was crispy and hearty. Friendly and prompt service, this is a lovely dining spot along the sunny Bellair Street strip.
As a Kensington resident, I found this cafe’s mocha is so far the best around the neighborhood. <br/ I do like the coffee from Pepper, but their mocha is not as good as this place’s.<br/ <br/ The service is good, people who work there are always warm and nice.<br/ The brunch menu provides a lot of options, and if you don’t want any meal on the menu? Don’t worry, customized meal is always an option.<br/ <br/ I love the chat potatoes there, as well as the eggs Benedict. The cheese cakes are also worth a try. :
Friyay lunch date with husband who's just come home from a work trip. A quaint little place with a great atmosphere, service and lovely prints that were available for purchase. I had the halloumi zucchini fritters and a hulk juice. Husband had a classic chicken avo and a skinny latte to boot. Lovely food. Lovely staff and a beautiful spring day. What more can you ask for?
This restaurant serves the best soy latte in Melbourne! I absolutely love that it is located in my neighborhood. If you are not from the Kensington area, definitely take a trip here for the coffee!
