What carol green doesn't like about The Whistle Stop Monon Connection Museum:
It’s a great place for train enthusiasts but don’t go for the food or service. The trains and memorabilia are fascinating but the food and service were not. Service was minimal at best. Restaurant with a Railroad theme. Well preserved Pennsylvania Railroad Calendars nicely displayed. Running G scale trains overhead. A very nice salad bar. Everything from steak to chicken nuggets. Very interesting railroad displays outside. AAA
We stopped on our way home, it was fun seeing the old trains we did stop in for lunch great service but I wasn't a fan of the food. I ordered the railroad ties (chicken strips) sorry to say they were over cooked and no flavor at all, my husband had the chicken fried steak he enjoyed it. If we're ever back that way, I'll stop in again but try something else.
Took my train obsessed 5 year old nephew and my almost 13 year old nephew to check it out. Super cool place, and you can have lunch their too! The restaurant was very yummy and they have a beautiful fresh salad bar. I highly recommend checking it out!
Over 40 minute wait, and never got food. Two tables came in after us and got their food and were ready to leave and we only had our pops. Ordered chicken croissant and a patty melt. As I was paying for the two pops, our waitress came up to us and did not even know we did not get our food!?! We won't be going back.
