Service was great, quick and friendly. Food came quick. Chili Relleno tasted mostly of cheese and ground beef, not much chili. The chicken enchilada had great flavor. The fajita burrito had great flavor, bell peppers were cruncier than expected View all feedback.
What Harrison Rogers doesn't like about El Rancherito Mexican Restaurant:
this place is terrible. there is in the menu a choice (veggie fajitas.) of the server said the bores have narrow, and the rice has chicken stock. the veggie fajitas were mostly mushy tomaten. the mushrooms in the fajitas were skillful, and the dish was so salty that it was almost indelible. the server was switched off because I asked for guacamole because I didn't get a bucamole, rice or acid cream. only a bad experi... You eat is just fantastic! I love the veggie fajitas. they are very accommodating to change. highly recommended.
Nice Lunch. We met my parents here on a road trip from Indianapolis to Memphis. Three of us had different taco salads and one had a burrito. All items were good. The fajita taco salad was a bit greasy. The salsa was good, but not spicy enough for me. Quick and attentive service.
Good food and good service. In addition to an extensive menu, they also have a buffet.
Food and decor are very good. We were worried. The UrbanSpoon rating was only 78%. But we were hungry and are long Mexican food fans. I'm so glad we stopped. The decorations are bright and colourful. The service is very attentive, and the food? I had the Taquitos mexicanos and my wife chose a chimichanga (here Favorit). Watch the sauce that comes with the taquitos when you're a gringo like me. It brought tears to my eyes. I gave her the sauce and enjoyed the rest. She liked her chimichanga even more than a restaraunt near our house in Michigan. If our travel plans take us back through Mount Vernon, Illinois, then El Rancherito will be on our list for dinner.
