My husband and I went to Nora's on recommendation from our friends for our anniversary. It was a true delight! The food Oh! was amazing. I had the Sabzi, so fresh! The hummus, a dream! The staff was just cool and comfortable. I had a cake brought there in advance to surprise my husband. The did so great with signals on when to bring it out, it was hilarious my husband had no idea. We will definitely be making Nora's... View all feedback.
What Bartz van den Bosch doesn't like about New Leaf Restaurant & Bar:
Regretfully, we had a lousy time at Easter Dinner. Service was slow, but that would be understandable on a busy holiday. There were eight of us. Drinks were very slow, at least one never came. Seven of us had finished our meal when the eighth meal arrived (a simple burger). I love Fort Tryron Park, and always thought of The New Leaf as a little gem of a spot. It still is, but we are very unlikely to eat here again. O... View all feedback.
Unfortunately, we had an annoying time at Easter dinner. the service was slow, but that would be understandable in a busy holiday. there were eight of us. the drinks were very slow, at least never someone came. seven of us had finished our meal when the eighth meal arrived (a simple burger.) I love the continuing tryron park and always thought of the new leaf as a small jewel of an orte. it is still, but we are very unlikely to eat here again. our server was nice, and I don't owe him, but overall this meal was a mess, made worse because I had told our guests what was a great place the new leaf.
Wonderful atmosphere. beautiful park around him. beautiful stone building. excellent eating. in any case worth a visit.
Reservation for 2 on the sun at 1:30 to intertwine the weekend in the city after tour monasteries..we arrived very early, but maitre d’ seemed no interest to have that I try to sit down early and seemed to forget about us until we remembered him. yet we sat at our reserved time. very good and pleasant. they were “out” pinot grigio? . both had eier benedikt, which were in order, but hollandaise had no lemon at him. roasted kartoffels were very tasteful. very loud until the amount at the end of the meal is diluted. we sat at a high table in cash, next time I would ask for a proper table in the main room. would definitely go back because overall was edible
Had reservations for 1:00 o'clock lunch on a Saturday for 2. we were in traffic and it was very frustrating not to talk to a living person to let them know. everything automated with the leaving of tracking the only option. the restaurant was very crowded. we ordered wein pino grigio and chardonnay. server came back and said they were from pino grigio, so I chose the chardonnay that was good. my cousin ordered salmon from the special menu. server came back and said they just ran out of salmon. this is again 1 clock when the restaurant had just recently opened. the restaurator was very loud and full. Other people complained and as soon as they put the ceiling fans and took the wrap around from the doors to open one, it got comfortable. the personal was excellent. they were short staff, but were very pleasant and professional. when he was asked if there was another fish to replace the salmon we didn't tell, but then our server came back after talking to the chef and she was accentuated. our server was wonderful and outrageous for our few disappointments. we have tormented everyone with cabin fever and want to be out to enjoy the beautiful day. although this trip was somewhat disappointing, I will certainly try again.
I love this restaurant tucked away in NYC’s Fort Tryon Park. Country European atmosphere overlooking the Hudson River complete with botanical gardens. Food is great too!
