La Taberna De La Boveda

Unfortunately this is now closed and the restaurant operating here is not the original. The original Restaurant La Bovida is just around the corner and the menu is as it was here.

Lovely, traditional service, reasonably priced, delicious tapas in old fashioned (high ceilings, tiled walls) surroundings. Don’t come here if you want American style service. Be relaxed and patient and you will be rewarded.

We visited hoping to book a table for later in the week and it was completely empty, all tables and chairs removed. It looked closed for the meantime.Such a shame as we have had many fantastic meals here over the years.

We tried this restaurant for both lunch and dinner during our stay in Palma, and we recommend to go there for lunch if you wish to have a relaxing meal with good service, and dinner if you want to be a part of a crowded place with slow service. I must say, we prefer to have good service, since there was the same amount of waiters for both occations, and naturally the service was suffering from that. As a middle aged couple we were not that attractive for the waiters as the table with four young, blond ladies... But the food is excellent if you like tapas!
