"This restaurant, as the name says, is a family home of three enthusiasts. The decor is warm and thought carefully with respect for traditions and knowledge to live. We start by giving you gifts to the trio and we received a set of grilled tarts, a delicious tapnade and a verrine. On the menu we especially love the Swiss fondue with truffles and the Swiss fondue with Morilles (almost thinner than the Savoyard fondue). In desserts the melting subtly decorated with real truffles and the hot chocolate with the chartreuse...What delicious daring! For us it is a chance to find every year a restaurant like this one in Montgenèvre and the map has an excellent value for money. In the evening for fondue or lunch version "bitronomy" for a quality burger. This restaurant is dedicated to people who love quality and those who have taste and a certain openness of mind will certainly enjoy spending a moment at the trio. I strongly recommend."

"Went to Les Tables de Gaspard last August, stayed for two nights and stayed for dinner as well. The room was spacious, with basic comfort. Bathroom was clean and offered basic comfort as well. There was no real breakfast, but coffee making facilities, and there's...a good bakery just around the corner. Considering the price for the room, still a very good choice. Dinner was very good though. Really liked the inventive dishes, served by a very friendly and welcoming host, in a superb dining room."

"Been here for ages, everybody loves it. Small ‘primi’ sized plates knocked out quickly, good quality pasta at 10 euro a plate. Not a splurge lunch place, but a good solid ski lunch with friendly service."

"This was a wonderful rifugio. We parked in Italy and walked up the snowy road to the rifugio which is actually just over the French border. You didn’t need snow shoes to get up to the rigugio, and they had a snowcat to take people up and down if they needed it. There was a small charge for this service. This rifugio was quite large with several groups staying. We were in a dormitory to ourselves which slept 15. We stayed over New Year. The rifugio was comfortable and very warm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They would provide sandwiches for lunch for around €3-4 if you booked them the day before. The evening meals were fantastic. They catered for me as a vegetarian. On the second night it was new year’s eve and they prepared a feast for us. I’ve never seen so much food, we couldn’t eat it all! I was a little hungry as I had a little bit of vegetarian starter as one of the first things brought out, but then there were so many courses and dishes of just meat, I had to wait a couple of hours before they brought the polenta out. I was really hungry by then. There were so many dishes, it took all night and they kept coming, but the food was lovely. They also provided dessert, and coffee and shots were offered at no extra charge. Before dinner on each night they had an aperitivo, and on new year’s eve this was done outside on a table made out of carved snow. They had a small bonfire and fireworks to see in the new year and yet more food outside. The area around the rifugio was beautiful and we went snow-shoeing up the mountain. They rent snow shoes for a small cost if you need them or you can bring your own. All in all a wonderful stay and I would like to go back and explore some more!"
