Gonna give 4 stars bc the resort is so nice, but the food here is honestly pretty hit or miss. Lunch got a seafood plate w/ fish, shrimp, and octopus. The seafood had no seasoning whatsoever, but the pasta was extremely flavorful. Dinner appetizer tuna tartare was outrageously good, but could've done with more chips. Then for entree, ordered the steamed bass w/ rice and coconut curry. The curry was great, but the bas... View all feedback.
What Sonya E doesn't like about Península:
Peninsula is one of the restaurant options on the Grand Fiesta Americano property. It's an outdoor seating setup with a huge canopy covering the deck to provide shade to diners. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here during our stay. The food is not as tasty as other restaurants on the resort but it does do the trick. We had the all inclusive bracelet so ordered new items during each visit. I will share that the tu... View all feedback.
One of the restaurants at the Fiesta Americana resort. This one is out on a patio with a shade covering. It overlooks the ocean. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is buffet style. Lunch you order from a menu. They don't have many veggie options but they do have chips and guacamole as well as a veggie sandwich. The veggie sandwich has cheese but can be ordered without it.
Beautiful view. Can't beat the beach front location and the sunset! Their service is amazing as in everywhere in the resort but the food is so so. My husband ordered the Gyoza and while it wasn't traditional, it was good. He ordered another plate. My son had octopus pad Thai and it was okay. The noodles were a bit over cooked. I ordered steamed sea bass and I was a disappointed. It was over cooked so it lost the delicacy of the fish that I enjoy. My daughter ordered chicken fingers w fried off the kids menu but the chicken fingers like thin like calamari strips. She's not picky much so she ate it without complaining. The view and service is what makes this restaurant good. The food is okay. I recommend bodega if you're in the resort. Haven't been to others yet.
The Peninsula has the best food, the best views, and the best service! Anthony and Deybi are too notch! They treated us like family from the very first day. They always found us a table with no wait, they brought our delicious food out quickly and correctly, went above and beyond with customer service. Every morning we were treated like royalty at breakfast, they provided excellent recommendations for lunch, and set us up for dinner as well! We told our entire family to skip the buffet and come here for all 3 meals. For breakfast, they offer delicious fresh fruit and a variety of Mexican breakfast options like Migas, chilaquiles, and huevos rancheros. There's also basic/American options like bagels, omelettes, and granola. Ocean views. We watched the boats pass, For lunch, they offer several different delicious options like nachos, fried fish, shrimp quesadillas, and Mac cheese. Then, they transform for dinner Asian style. We enjoyed miso soup, dumplings, tuna tartare, and pad Thai. No matter which meal you enjoy, you experience exceptional service and panoramic ocean views. We watched the boats pass, whale watched, and even went down to the beach to see fish! I look forward to coming back to Cabo and the Peninsula, especially to enjoy their service!
Although the location of this place is awesome, the food is very average. Reminded me a lot of an airport restaurant. We got the tacos which were mediocre at best, which is a shame considering this is Mexico. I've had tacos that are miles better in NYC and California.
The Peninsula is a restaurant at the all-inclusive Grand Fiesta Americana resort in Cabo San Lucas. We have travelled a bit and enjoyed other all-inclusive resorts. The Peninsula was exceptional for the views, menu selection, and service with our family returning again and again. Three different menus throughout the day. Breakfast is more Mexican inspired with lunch having a Mediterranean flair. Asian fusion styled dishes are served in the evening for dinner. All the menus offered fresh tasting innovative choices. I was a fan of breakfast with chorizo, eggs, and black beans served with corn tortillas. Coffee is made from an amazing Nespresso machine that made the best cup of coffee available at the resort. Service by Rodrigo or Antony regardless of the time of day was always friendly, fast, personable and exceptional. Great servers only enhanced the dining experience with always helpful suggestions. Customizing a dish was always an option which was appreciated. We enjoyed exceptional weather during our week long stay so eating outside next to the ocean and close to the pools offered great views of the coastline and the whales swimming offshore. For having such a great location it was never that busy with all tables having a view. Visiting the Grand Fiesta you have lots of options for a meal but for us the Peninsula was our go to regardless of the time of day!
