I have been coming to visit my grandparents since I was born today. I am 35 and when I tell you, I love this place every time I come to here. I take my whole family the atmosphere the environment even with the TVs in the news on trust me everyone is so easy-going even the people eating around. For not being a buffet person, this place was decent. I appreciated that they offer a take-out option where you can fill a take-out container and pay the weight rather than buying the buffet if you're not a big eater. The sushi options were good. Avoid this place at all costs! Our recent visit to the Royal Buffet in Dickson City was an absolute nightmare. The service was atrocious, and the cleanliness was non-existent. Firstly, our server had the audacity to ask for a bigger tip after we already left $10. Her entitlement was staggering. But that wasn 't the worst of it. She had the nerve to ask my uncle if he had pooped his pants due to his colostomy bag. This was not only rude but also incredibly insensitive. The booth we were seated in was filthy, with crumbs and sauce covering the table and seats. It was clear that no effort was made to clean it before we arrived. And if you think it couldn 't get any worse, the bathroom was a biohazard. There was poop on the floor, a putrid stench filled the air, and mysterious white gunk clogged the sink. Our experience at Royal Buffet was disgusting and disheartening. With such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and basic hygiene, it 's a wonder they remain in business. Do not waste your time or money on this dump.
This place is hit or miss. Most times, the food is not hot. The selection is medium and the exact same items every time. Yesterday, I went and maybe there is a new chef. This was the first time the food was actually spiced enough to bring it up a notch compared to the past
The food was fine and the service was quick but the issue I had was that I was forced into tipping. Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with tipping, and am more than happy to when I CAN. However, when the waitress stands over you, pointing at the 15% tip until you do it? Absolutely not. She stood over me until I tipped, even though I said no, I couldn't, multiple times. I will not be coming to this restaurant ever again.
The staff was so lovely and they had a great selection of food! I really love how they can cook hibachi right in front of you included in the buffet. They had a variety of different foods and I'm definitely going again! You can't beat the price
