"Calamari entree was awful, it was tough and a conglomeration of flavours that didn't work. The Pancetta and sage gnocchi was average. Pizza special was average, sparse toppings and ordinary base. Our friends meals were also very ordinary. Mains arrived at the table before entrees had been consumed. Gin and Tonic arrived with just ice, no garnishes, very lazy! I was sitting in full view of kitchen and one of your staff (blue hair) spent the entire time dragging his hands through his hair whilst doing food prep....YUK Such a shame, thought we may have found our new local but we won't be back."

"Across the Brisbane River is Madame Wu, a modern Asian fusion restaurant. Once you step inside, you immediately notice the attention to detail. It’s a bit Scandinavian, a bit Art Deco but it works. The food is delicious. It’s Asian but not really Asian. I loved the steamed lamb dumplings with eggplant and sichuan sauce (pictured). The staff are friendly and it’s definitely the perfect spot for a long leisurely lunch and a few cocktails. #madamewu #asianfusion"

"Have been here several times for breakfast in the past year and that has been good, but not in the evening for over a year.The atmosphere and setting remains delightful.The staff and service was good. The wine list is expensive- cheapest bottle was $48. The tapas is substantial but appeared ti be mire like deep fried pub food. Perhapw ordered tge wrong things? We had calamari, chicken, miso fish cakes, mushroom aracini balls and the beer battered chips. Seemed like a good variety. A bit disappointed. This restaurant changed hands so many times over the last decade, so i hope this is not the trend again. It is great to live locally and be able to pop over the road."

"Dropped in early Saturday evening without a booking and although the restaurant was well booked they found a table for two anyway (we just had to be finished by 7:30pm). The cocktails were fun, the food divine but our waitress was just fabulous and preempted our every need even down to refreshing the ice glass just as we needed it done. It’s the little bits of service that make such a difference, so well done to our 6 waitress Amra; we hope that the Madame Wu management know just how good you are"

"We chose Three Blue Ducks because we had not been to the Brisbane establishment and wanted a special occasion with friends we had not seen for many years. When we exited the elevator we were met with an overpowering sewage odour which wafted through the restaurant for the whole afternoon. We were told it was due to low tide on the river and I felt there should have been a plan B to mitigate the impact as it seemed to be a known problem. Three of our party ordered a glass of Australian bubbly and it was specified a number of times we only wanted three glasses. During the meal I suddenly became aware our glasses were being topped up and we had to pay for the bottle. The food and service quality was mixed and despite enjoying the company of our friends the restaurant experience was disappointing."
