"Whilst shopping in Malvern recently, we decided to try Hu’s for lunch. As it was right on the end of lunchtime, we were fortunate to get in, and the restaurant was uncustomarily quiet. We both enjoyed the experience, absolutely nothing wrong with the restaurant and we found the food more than adequate for our needs. Realistically, we only wanted a quick lunch, and as such chose Spring Rolls for a shared entree. These were your typical spring rolls but perhaps just a little better in quality than the normal spring rolls you are served in some Chinese restaurants. Nothing wrong with them, crisp, hot and delicious. Carole chose Honey Chicken for her main course. It too, was very pleasant indeed, we both shared it so I can certainly qualify Carole’ s comments it was excellent. It was simply good Chinese food. On the other hand, I chose Spiced Salt Squid which was equally as good. Could not fault its quality there were plenty of spices in it to make it a meal I really enjoyed. There is a very extensive menu, complete with dumplings, which we did not get to try it this time but would like to go back and try some later. The wine list is very typically that expected in a medium price range Chinese restaurant. An adequate selection from which Carole enjoyed a Windy Peak Pinot Grigi, which was cool, crisp and well suited to her honey chicken. Table service was good, although it is very hard to judge as we were one of only a couple of tables left in the restaurant. However based on the experience we had, there was no problem. The ambience was really good. The decor was very pleasant and very typically traditional Chinese culture with a lot of red and gold. The murals on the wall made it all very inviting, the tables and chairs were extremely comfortable and a welcome change from some of the chairs and tables you are provided with in most restaurants. A pleasant change. There was adequate spacing between tables within the restaurant so as you were not sitting on your neighbours laps. As far as value for money goes, it is normal for a mid range restaurant, or a good quality lunch."

"This cafe is located in Food Court of Chadstone Shopping Center. So it is always busy because of its location, cheep price and good quality food.This cafe has a full range of Chinese food, however in my opinion the best dish here is their fried dumplings. They have a window where you can see how these dumplings are creating by hands and it is making you sure that you have very fresh product. Portion of 10pcs will cost about 13$. Cheep and very tasty. The only one problem that you have to find the please to seat, prior to buying your food. But it worth... When we have shopping in Chadstone we always stop here to have dumplings or to take it away."

"My daughter had never tried dumplings as she is a coeliac so finally after 17 years she finally got to try them and she loved them. The owner is delightful, super friendly and provides wonderful service. We thoroughly enjoyed our dumplings and highly recommend this place especially for those on a gluten free diet. Wish it was closer to our house though!"

"A new dumpling place in Carnegie, yes, another option for dumplings, this time, it is dumpling buffet, what a novel idea! <br/ <br/ The kiddos enjoyed cooking their own dumplings, which is such a great way to encourage them to go for the healthier option then their beloved pan fried dumplings. Each tray comes in 6 so you can sample different flavours which is difficult in a regular dumpling place unless you are with a super large group. If you still prefer pan fried dumplings, you can still order them from the kitchen. <br/ <br/ Besides dumplings, they've also got other hot cold dishes served in buffet style (only the dumplings you've got to cook it yourself). We liked the honey chicken, mapo tofu, satay chicken, red bean pancake. The kiddos enjoyed the prawn crackers, jellies ice cream, all in price!"

"We came for a pre-dinner snack and wanted more! the chicken and veg dumplings were excellent, and so were the spring rolls. her homemade chili oil is one of the best we ever had! definitely again for more. thank you!"
