"We had two nights in goondiwindi. we stayed in the attached motel but had wanted to eat in the city. we had a light dinner in the first night in the grunde 4 entrees between 2 of us. that was enough for a light meal. we were impressed. with the service and decided to return to the next night for a full meal. we both had the barkers creek and were not disappointed. well cooked and served. when we're back in goondiwindi, we'll be ceremonially revised. thanks to tracy who was wonderful and all the workers"

"Excellent service. Great food. Courtesy bus. Highly recommended. The building is magnificent. The meals were wholesome country food. Vegies were fresh. All serves were generous and not over priced."

"It is an older motel, but very well kept and very comfortable. A little disappointed that the restaurant was not open but the suggested alternative was about 800 meters away and well worth the effort. Bed was comfortable and we able to have a great sleep (10 hours) so just what you need when traveling."

"Stopped in here today and purchased family chips. They where extremely bitter tasting and over cooked. They tasted bitter as a result of old burnt cooking oil. If you are going to charge 6 dollars for chips please ensure that they arw top notch and don't skimp on changing oil regularly as this is they only way they end up with the way they tasted by not doing so. Floor was dirty and bits of chips everywhere and staff standing around out the back but no one keeping place clean. Should be a priority. No excuses. Pick up your act Red Rooster."
