"I'm so incredibly disappointed. this place used to be so generous with its portions and now has not only the price risen this is obviously the amount of chips that they pay for $9 for a piece of fish with chips. there are so many chips that I couldn't finish everything, but that's just disappointing. I'm not going back honestly."

"This place changed hands six weeks ago (it's 31/05/16 today) as was apparent from the new and friendly staff ...<br/ <br/ ... and the noticeable improvement in food.<br/ <br/ I ordered a steamed dim sim and a hamburger with the lot. Both good."

"Really nice food but always phone ahead to order if you don't want to sit there waiting for an hour or more. They are always extremely busy so plan ahead at peak times like Friday nights if you're in a hurry. Also parking is at a premium so it's easier to either bike there or park down the block and walk back if you don't want to have to circle for a parking spot."

"Awesome fish and chips. I live in Mt Waverley where all the fish and chip shops have been taken over by Chinese owners. Unfortunately they have ruined their shops by introducing Chinese food to their menus. Their fish and chips now have a Chinese flavour. I love Chinese food but not with my fish and chips! Macrina fish shop is old school fish and chips with friendly owners and really fresh fish. Keep it up"

"You can't go past an old school fish and chip shop like this one! The burgers are amazing, just with enough grease to call it flavour! Chips, nuggets and Fish are all tasty as well. Can't go wrong such a beautiful reminder of the past."

"We gave them a go and was very impressed. Nice crispy chips and flake. We ordered 4 flakes and one was slightly smaller and they gave another piece to make up, was pleasantly surprised. Good old school potatoe cakes too. Decent value. Shop was nice and clean- very important to us."
