"We ordered through Menulog and were confident enough having received a receipt and a message on the phone. However the delivery time came and went with no pizza. I rang the store and was greeted by an harassed woman who was apologetic but could not find the order. She said she hoped it would arrive soon and that they were very busy. Fortunately the pizzas did arrive however I had already fed the child as he could not wait any longer. The pizzas were cold when they arrived and had to be re-heated. Disappointing all round."

"Ordered three take away pizzas from here last night using Menulog. Pick up time was 8.10pm. Arrived on time and was told they would be ready in a few minutes . Fine. Soon after three pizza boxes were placed on top of the oven but no name was called out so they could have been for home delivery. At 8.25pm I was again asked about my order by a girl who realised my pizzas were sitting on the oven (along with other orders . Very annoying but the response to the delay was completely indifferent. By the time we ate these pizzas they were cool. The souvlaki 'gourmet ' pizza on a gluten free base had much gristle and was poor quality. The other two pizzas (smoked salmon and cappriccosa with anchovies had generous toppings but the bases were too thick. Overall poor service and below average pizzas (made worse by not being hot enough! . Would not bother again."

"Dropped in for a takeaway coffee and sandwich, ended up sitting in the sun, in the courtyard, enjoying a spectacular smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, coffee and salad. The cafe is quirky, in a converted house I suspect, unusual but it keeps life interesting. The complementary salad was amazing, with sun dried tomato, parmesan and balsamic, decent coffee and brilliant service very attentive, friendly and familiar. First time here but won't be the last."

"The smell coming from the bakery was enough to draw me in to check it out. I ordered the BBQ Pork Roll. It was like the perfect snack to grab in between classes at Monash. It fits in your hand but surprisingly really filling. They were generous with the ingredients, lots of BBQ Pork inside which I’ve been craving. The bread was also crispy but not too hard. Waited less than 5mins so you don’t have to wait long to get it."

"We dined on a Saturday morning, about 10am(ish). The place was empty apart from two other couples. Whilst we were there only 2 or 3 other couples came in. Most odd for a Saturday morning, but perhaps not so, considering the food we received! We ordered “Smashed avocado with roasted truss tomatoes, Danish feta & 2 poached eggs on multigrain toast - $17.50”. What an extreme case of misrepresentation! What we received was 2 tiny slices of multigrain (Vienna shaped) toast (from the size I suspect they were the ends of the loaf, and they’d have been lucky to be 5mm thick; not toast thickness at all). The avocado was most certainly not “smashed” – it was “mashed”, and spread so sparingly it resembled a scraping of butter on the toast. The eggs were tiny, and the most “average” poached eggs I’ve ever eaten. The truss tomatoes must still be growing on the bush, as we received 2 or 3 unripened tiny cherry tomatoes, cut in half so as to look like there was a lot more on the plate. The miniscule amount of crumbled feta resembled nothing more than a plate garnish. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. In hindsight, I should have sent the food back, but I didn’t want to cause a fuss (the other couple of diners would have heard every word!). The hot chocolate was very good (possibly one of the best cups I’ve ever had, so they’ve got that bit right – I believe their coffee is good too!). The staff were polite, but I wouldn’t say there was any “service”. The menu was handed to us as if it was an effort to even walk to our table. We weren’t offered table water at all, nor were we asked if we’d like anything additional after we finished our meal. I won’t ever go back, and I’ll most definitely be telling my friends not to bother going. Word-of-mouth is the best form of marketing for any business, and sadly for Raven Hill Café, they’re doing it wrong!"

"Always skeptical when it comes to ordering bagels. However, I did not have a single regret with eating bagels from Huff. Even when toasted, the bagels still won't become super hard and chewy. Customer service was also really good."

"Great food loved the salmon and corn fritters. Food and coffee ... tables a bit small if you like to read the paper whilst you have breakie."

"We chose the place to eat as it appeared to be popular with a good atmosphere. We had no problem with the staff, but the food was a disaster. I ordered a Croque Monsieur which was way under cooked. Almost inedible. My banana smoothie wasn't blended. Tasted like they used banana topping and the honey they added was heavy handed and formed a two centimetre sludge on the bottom. I was either unlucky with what I ordered or just chased the wrong place."
