"Four of us gathered at Tommy's for a farewell to a couple moving interstate. What a little gem in Glebe this place is! The room we sat in was decorated in an eclectic and charming pub style way; loved it.If you're a serious beer drinkers/taster you really need to try some of their unusual European beers. The 3 lads had a ball with the beers while I stuck to cocktails - which, by the way, were very well made.We started with nibbles such as pretzels and pork crackling, and I could have spent the rest of the night nibbling on more crackling but there were other delicious dishes to try.The 3 guys each had the Mixed Sausage Platter and all 3 raved about it. I tried the potato pancakes with horseradish cream - tasty; and then some traditional smoked cheese. The cheese was delicious albeit quite rich after everything else I had eaten!A couple close to our table recommended the pork knuckle, but there is only so much good food one can eat at a time.WE WILL BE BACK!"

"Very friendly staff. Good selection of dumplings to choose from. Beer was nice and cold. Highly recommend the crispy pork sliders and the rendang sliders, and of course the Xiao long bao dumplings. But it was all very tasty."

"I was here four times. For anyone who has spent a lot of time in the mid levels in hong kong, this is about as close as they are on the east side of george st in sydney. big baos, muffy dumplings, black bunny, asahi black on hahn!? the best is their chili sauce, which at my recent visit the host gave us some small takes away. great service also great prices. a visit"

"Had lunch here one day whilst in Sydney. <br/ <br/ Customer service was good, we were met with a friendly greeting upon arrival and told to sit where we please. <br/ <br/ We ordered a couple of burgers with drinks. The burgers were really nice and the beer battered chips were even better. <br/ <br/ The location and views were the highlight. A great spot to take in the beauty of the harbour whilst enjoying an excellent meal."

"I visited the Darlinghurst restaurant on a Friday night in July with my husband and adult daughter. Phoned just before and made a booking no probs. The staff were very pleasant and the food lovely. Made the initial order and once that was finished we ordered a bit more. Very reasonably priced. We were staying near Hyde park and just walked down."

It’s easy to dismiss the touristy eating traps of Darling Harbour and Circular Quay but walk up a ways to King Street Wharf and there are actually some really decent restaurants to discover. And with Barangaroo unveiling new eateries every few months, the competition is high."
