"The punkiest burger bar I've encountered in Sydney so far is the Old Growler in Kings Cross."

"Because Sydney doesn’t have enough speakeasies, we’ve been gifted another. In true prohibition style, this hard-to-find bar requires some orienteering skills to uncover. After navigating a boring office building foyer, grab the lift to level four. Then on the other side of a nondescript door is an adorable alcoholic wonderland.<br/ <br/ Split over two levels, downstairs you drink your poison of choice in an ornate, candlelit, leafy library. But head up the stairs and you’ll find a rooftop bar that offers some pretty jaw-smackingly good views of the city skyline. There’s also a small food menu of snacky things like cheese, charcuterie and cheese steaks.<br/ <br/ There’s a lot to like about the place owned by old mate."

"Great coffee and another place that knows how to make a great ham and cheese croissant. Sunday morning, that's all I could ask for..<br/>Friendly service and nice casual ambience, will be back for sure."

"Chilly, wet night outside and ceiling fans whirling inside equals chilly, dry night inside. We are going to the theatre downstairs and tell the waiter. We are there at 6pm so reckon we're safe for a 7.30 start ordering just one course. Wrong! Plates put...in front of us at 10 to 7. I do love to eat in a hurry, not. Food okay but not up to the SMH rave and certainly not worth the $34 a dish. And a glass of cab sav at $18 isn't pub bistro price either. This place exists to service the theatre feed and water people and get them to the theatre without indigestion. It was way better in both senses in its last iteration. This time it's pretension that wins. Not good."

"Nice atmosphere. Lovely coffee although the large was just a cup. We had a raspberry and a blueberry muffin which were fresh but lacking any fruit. The apple tart was good. Baked cheesecake was fresh but a small serve and plain. It could have done with a drizzle of flavour like a berry compote or something. Two coffees a milkshake, two muffins, a cheesecake and an apple tart cost $40. It was a pleasant place to have a coffee."

"Wow. Way overpriced. Food was cold, uncooked mushrooms, salad fit for a pet rabbit. Eggs over cooked, soft wet bread, unseasoned. For the location of this coffee house. Barely ate half our meal. Overall - terrible."
