"I had my 30th birthday here and the staff were so goddamn accommodating. The ambiance is amazing, the bartenders are LOVELY, and the venue itself if a stunner. I had one of the best birthdays ever here. Even the security staff were amazing - just trying to keep me happy without breaking any rules. I LOVE THIS PLACE!"

"Building upon ground cut by Mudgee’s di Lusso Estate nearly a decade before, the team from Handpicked Wines have brought their cellar door to the city. In the elegant, Kensington Street space, smooth Scandinavian-inspired design sits comfortably over the building’s postindustrial brewery remnants. The large room is split between wine lounge and bottle shop; separated by curved tasting bars where you can pull up a comfortable stool and embark upon a tasting adventure for between ten and twenty bucks. By dropping coin on a tasting - we did the Explorer Tasting ($20/6 wines) - the pressure is removed from you having to make a purchase to justify taking up so much of the staff member's time. "Coffee was good but service was rude and pretentious. Attended for brunch with 4 friends and made to sit in the corner next to buckets catching water from the leaking air conditioning and surrounded by fruit flies. As mentioned the coffee was good but on leaving was asked to pay a dollar surcharge for avocado for a menu item listed as avocado and tomato. Probably would have paid had the serving not been so tiny and the service so poor. To top it off, the waitress remarked you're just visiting Newtown aren't you on our way out. Bad attitude, plenty of places in Newtown that are more friendly and clean."

"After spending a few months in Europe and eating so much cheese, this shop offers the best cheese selection in Australia. It's a cheese shop that has a tasting bar, so we liked that you could try the cheeses before we bought and we even had a glass of wine in the store. When you come after 4pm, they give you a complimentary cheese plate to enjoy with the wine...it reminds me of having an aperitivo in Italy. I love this place and will visit again!"

Earth to Table is great vegan restaurant in Bondi. We came here to try their famous vegan cheesecakes, they tasted delicious, you could not tell they were vegan! We got the blueberry and the strawberry ones which came with ice cream, they were also plated beautifully, however the savoury vegan menu was not as memorable in comparison.
