"This is a small but mighty unassuming fish and chip restaurant that delivers in a big way! I recently visited early on a Sunday evening and there was soon a line up out the door and along the deck waiting for take out or eat in meals. I tried the House Special meal consisting of a large piece of haddock as well as breaded whole clams and fries. For $16.99, this serving could have satisfied at least 2 people and provided me with yummy leftovers. The food was fresh and delicious - the clams were some of the best I've ever had. Table service was a bit slow due to the high take out order volume but was pleasant and attentive when they were able to come by. The decor is not fancy but is as down to earth as its menu offerings. This is a definite on my list of return visits for fantastic local seafood."

"Naan is the best we’ve had in Halifax, especially since it was warm even for a delivery. Butter chicken and Chana Masala were also flavourful and came in round containers that were also warm. Veggie rice was very colourful and vegetables were included on the inside. Overall, food was filling, tasty, and had beautiful presentation for a delivered meal. Would come back again."

"Kitchen table is in the same space as the King's Head but it is a much improved establishment. I love the levels and the decor is awesome.The staff are fricken incredible and they make the experience incredibly enjoyable. $3 beers at happy hour and a few good food specials as well. Definetly recommend the truffle fries! I expected the food to be pub level, but was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Has open mic night on Wednesday. 10/10 would recommend checking out."

"We are from out of town and found this place on Trip Advisor. Tip #1....do not try to enter from Hollis St. We followed directions to the H street address and entered the building. Before actually arriving at the resto, we found ourselves in a lobby, stairway, parking garage, and a hallway... Kind of a weird trip. MUCH easier to enter directly into Petes from Lower Water Street. Onto the food! Our clan was initially overwhelmed with all the offerings and how they were set up. But basically, they offer soup, sandwiches, or salad. Each has an individual station. We ordered up three sandwiches and a salad. One huge perk of the salad 'bar' is that all the options are on easy display, but the staff member mixes up your salad for you. Much better than one where Cousin Eddie and all his kin may have been dipping through! Sandwiches were VERY good and so was the salad! No complaints whatsoever on quality of food. $8 for a relatively average size sandwich seemed a little steep, though. I would have liked to have seen a soup and sandwich deal, but I did not. They may have had one, and I didn't ask......so won't make an issue with that. The place does seem a bit confusing as the flow is a bit strange. But now that our first visit is under our belt, that won't be an issue next time. Staff were all great here too.....very friendly! Worth a visit!! Try out Pete's ToGoGo! Just use the correct door! Lol"

"You get what you pay for, I paid 8$ for a combo and got the saddest almost unseasoned white rice with peas and carrots I've ever had, Uncle Bens microwave basmati has more flavor.Looked forward to the steamed buns only to find out they're so cheap because you grossly under fill them. I guess I got my steamed bun, as 99% of it was nothing but bun.Pay the extra 2-4$ and get real chinese food basically anywhere else."
