"Each week we order in lunch for about people who are still coming in to the office , during the Covid pandemic. This week we chose Blue Olive and it was excellent! Owner Jimmy took our order, supplied cutlery and napkins, delivered the order...himself; everything arrived hot and the order was accurate. Everyone really enjoyed their lunch and the serving size/quality was top notch. We had chicken skewer plates, moussaka plates and pastichio plates. ALL WERE DELICIOUS! If you’re looking for a takeout lunch or delivery ... try Blue Olive !!! Their family specials, dinners and desserts are also wonderful."

"In 2015, Halifax declared donairs the official food of the city. It's basically beef shawarma (if you've had it in Toronto) or the beef version of a lamb gyro (if you've had it at a halal cart in New York City). It's the evolution of the doner kebab to what Haligonians call "donair." It comes with a donair sauce — condensed milk and garlic. I highly recommend getting the donair sauce on the side and trying it on it's own before drizzling it all over your wrap. Johnny K's is located on an iconic street corner called Pizza Corner, known as the go-to place for 3:00am post-partying nibbles. If you have a donair, you can claim you've had the official Halifax food. If you skip it, you haven't missed much."

"The food was no so great. I ordered the chicken shawarma poutine but the chicken was mostly fatty bits. The pieces that were actual chicken breast and not fatty chunk a was delicious. The fries, gravy and garlic sauce were great as well. The service was good though. The lady was friendly. I would buy a container of their garlic sauce and get the chicken shawarma from somewhere else."
