"I read review about this Greek shop, but I want to try it myself. I was trying to get take out. The light box for the menu didn't work. The staff said we could just order what we wanted. We saw gyro beef and chicken, but not sure why they were in soak in water. It wasn't the gyro I had. We ended up not ordering anything there."

"Ordered a tonkatsu black ramen and unfortunately the pork that came with it was rancid. The fat in particular tasted rotten.Server was apologetic and immediately said I won't be charged.Needless to say I won't be coming back there. The rotten taste of the pork still lingers even after hours had past eating it."

"After passing by Tom’s for years, discouraged by its rundown exterior and sporadic traffic. I’d known it was supposed to be a local institution, similar to other Greek burger joints in the GTA (think Golden Star, Johnnie’s , but it didn’t seem to attract the same...type of devoted crowds. (Maybe that’s just Markham for ya... At any rate, can’t express strongly enough how disappointing Tom’ was. The menu is akin to those other, much better, burger stops. Standard issue and Home Burger varieties of ground beef patties, souvlaki, gyros, all sided with rice and roasted Greek potatoes or fries and Greek salad. Everything we ordered, a Home Burger, hot dog and chicken souvlaki on a bun, was awful. All buns were stale and dry. The burger was seasoned, but barely cooked (and not a fine grade of beef that one might take Med Rare . The toppings slid messily off the bun. You can literally find dozens of better burgers out there. The hot dog was cooked, at least. But nothing to make note of. My chicken sandwich was the worst! Meat devoid of any moistness. Gluey tzitziki sauce, limp veg toppings, and bland feta. I grew up frequenting our local Greek place, and always enjoyed perfectly prepared greasy spoon fare. I didn’t have high hopes for Tom’s, I just wanted a tasty lunch with my kids. We all hated it. And we can usually find something to like about any restaurant, but not this time! We all felt gross afterward, rued our decision to try Tom’s instead of a going to solid fallback options like Five Guys or if you want to go independent Fresh Burger on the border with Richmond Hill. We will never go again. And we warn anyone who might consider it to think twice and pick something else."
