"A newcomer to the area, I tried Contra and was blown away. Sweet staff, gorgeous pastries and lovely space. Had a quiet spot to work and enjoy my delicious chai latte. Met some friendly moms and babies too. I will be back....daily!"

"This restaurant is located on the east side of Avenue Road south of Wilson Avenue. Parking is either on Avenue Road or the side streets. Once you get into the restaurant, take a deep breath and you will be transported to Jamaica, as the wonderful smells of jerk chicken are enough to make you want to sit in the sand under a palm tree. The food is truly awesome man! We had the boneless jerk chicken and the barbecued jerk chicken and both were superb! Leave enough room for the Jamaican rum cake with coconut ice cream. You will be warmed to your soul! The heat is just right as the depth of flavour is truly all encompassing, if you start with the soup, you will never want to leave, as the flavours dance on you tongue with the effervescence of the Caribbean!"

"The best piece of advice is to not go in with high expectations of a spectacular vegetarian buffet. Saying that, however, I absolutely love Govinda's! Everyone that works there is warm and welcoming, all of the food is made from scratch with love, and if you're looking for a delicious, nutritious and warm meal on a budget, this is a fabulous place. They have vegan options too which is great when my best girlfriend (who is vegan) and I eat out."

"Will never ever go here again and will talk about it to all people I know.We went for dinner there, hubby ordered food on the menu, she went then came back saying its not available and asked him to order something else. she left then came back saying that second order was not available but the first order is available. so hubby ordered his original chosen food. I don't know why Rio 40 doesn't have a system on what's available or not? Our order supposedly came with veggies but it never came.There was a fly swimming in hubby's iced ginger ale, asked new cup and the waitress came back with same drink (not sure if it's new cup or not but for sure same drink) minus the fly. Said she can't give new cup or else we have to pay. So, we asked new clean cup and she gave another one with several lip marks and a piece of food on the cup rim like it was not washed. Hubby asked for manager and asked for new cup and the manager gave a new one. how many attempts we need to do to get a clean cup? In the end i told hubby might as well drink straight from the can. Lol...There were nine of us and despite not so busy night, we had to look for utensils and napkins from neighboring tables."
