"We entered the restaurant around pm, at our reservation time, we got served mins later. Not even water was served in that minutes. Not an acceptable understanding way of service."

"I happened to be in the area after many years . It was lunch time and I was looking forward to having Massimo's pizza which I used to have years ago . Much to my disappointment, the place had changed ownership and the place looked like it needed a fresh coat of paint . As I was hungry, I stepped in and greeted the owner and saw the fresh slices of pizza on display. I ordered a slice of deluxe pizza and was surprised it was only $3.50 inc tax . The taste of the pizza was as I remembered it from the days Massimo used to serve it . It was delicious and much better than any of the chain restaurants. While I sat and enjoyed my pizza , I noticed several university students also came and bought slices to go . They seemed like regulars. The place needs TLC and a little friendlier service . I would recommend this place for takeouts ."

"Have been 3 times in 3 months. Our friends travel 45 minutes to meet us here for dinner (they are Italian). Food is amazing; fresh, tasty, hot and authentic. Service is always great. Love that owner greets us at the door and is able to keep track of the next party and how many are in it. Wish restaurant was bigger or at least waiting area bigger. Still, wait time was well worth it.Wine selection is good. Portion size is awesome. Price is worth it!"

"I'm always wanting to try new small mom and pop shops that start up in Toronto and really wanted to like Sfizio but time and time again it just misses the mark. It has a lot of potential with big businesses in the area but it is usually empty during lunch time and/or after work. Which shouldn't be the case seeing how the pubs in the area are always packed.The menu is a bit boring. Nothing really jumps out or is it exciting. You would think that with the wood burning oven that people would be lining up to get in with the smell of the wood burning but no. The pizza is just okay. The sauce doesn't taste homemade and at times you can taste the aluminum from the can that the sauce came from. The veggie pasta that I ordered was drenched in olive oil and the veggies, although grilled well, lacked any flavour.It feels that the owners have given up as the service is lacking which then is shown in the food. There is no passion in the restaurant at all. It seems as if the staff are just waiting for closing time."
