"Great service and delicious Portuguese food. The caldo verde soup had a really nice flavour. The grilled chicken was moist and tasty. The bife a casa was a little under cooked but the sauce was delicious and the chips that came with it was really good. Large portion sizes!"

"My husband and I were visiting in the area and decided to eat at House of Chan. We were quickly seated to our table and shortly after the waiter came over to ask if we would like a drink. The wine menu was incomplete, only listing a few wines like Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot etc. but not saying where they were from or a description. The Chardonnay that we selected was 11.00 for a 5 oz. glass and it was really harsh. No doubt a very inexpensive bottle if purchased at the LCBO. We ordered 1 order of Beef with vegetables but it was mainly full of red peppers and celery. We had a hard time finding any beef it it. We also ordered the lemon chicken which tasted dried out and was a very small portion. The waiter said that we had ordered enough food for two but it really was not enough. The food just didn't taste fresh at all. We left with a 71.07 bill before tip and we both felt hungry afterwards. So many better restaurants in the area to choose from so I would not recommend this place."
