"The Sylvia Hotel and Restaurant is one of my fav places in Vancouver.I hosted a close friend to celebrate her birthday. We had a nice bottle of wine. The shrimp cocktail was excellent. My friend loved her salmon and my burger and fries were tasty. We shared a very delicious lemon tart for dessert.The server was very friendly and provided excellent service and all the staff were very hospitable.When you spend time in the room, you will be among other folks who you can tell love being there...it is a very special place to be and the staff are wonderful.I highly recommend this place to dine, drink and enjoy the sunset overlooking English Bay."

"Overall pretty bad experience unfortunately. Cheap ingredients and very overpriced. Took a long time for our food to come with only 2 other people in the restaurant and when it did, they served me a meat dish when I ordered and specified that I was vegetarian. They brought out the correct one later but didn’t apologize and sadly we had to leave by the time the correct one came. Thought this place was going to be great but pretty disappointing. If you’re looking for Taco’s or Mexican cuisine, there are a lot of far better options downtown!!"

"We love to come here as the food is super delicious but sometimes we don’t get good service…. Maybe the staff is tired sometimes and we understand that. This time we got exceptional service by one of the staff… she looked new but she was outstanding. Her name is “Thuvaraka”. I want to thank her for being the best and giving us the best customer service possible. Her service was much appreciated. And as always, food is awesome… the owner himself is amazing ?"
