"Going to Ikoo is a special treat for someone who loves Japanese food but lives on a student budget. While the appetizers, side dishes and drinks are more on the expensive side, the main courses are relatively cheap. the portions are generous and filling. there is quite a variety on offer considering the small size of the restaurant.As someone who is continuously disappointed at the meagre vegetarian selections in Japanese restaurants in Zurich, i really appreciate the options available at Ikoo. while the meals are no match for the stuff you get in Japan, at least the vegetarian dishes really make it up for me. i'm particularly infatuated by the vegetarian tan-tan mien, something that is rarely an option in Japan itself.The downside is of course the small size of the restaurant. I do not recommend spontaneous visits during lunch or evening hours without prior reservation. The service is quite informal and thus homely, the staff friendly."

"Das Ooki ist immer wieder gut für ein spontanes, japanisches Essen ausserhalb von Sushi und Co. Das Lokal ist klein, Reservation übers Wochenende zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Dem Gast wird ganz unzürcherisch viel Aufmerksamkeit zuteil. Die Essensauswahl ist sehr gut; Fisch, Fleisch und Gemüse ist in verschiedenen Variationen erhältlich. Die Karte ist wie in Japan üblich von hinten nach vorne zu lesen. Das Ambiente ist schlicht in Holz und mit wenig unnötiger Deko gehalten. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist vorbildlich."

"The setting is very stylish. we ordered several different things from the menu in order to get a proper taste it was all delicious!! teresa, the waitress was very friendly and made up for the long(ish) wait. we will definitely come back and we totally recommend it!"

"Had a wonderful birthday dinner at the Spritzwerk. We enjoyed the currently offered japanese food by Topden (The last Samurai) very much. Best poke bowl I've eaten so far in Zurich. Loved it and will definitely go back. Also the service was very friendly. We even had my 5month old daughter with us in a buggy. No problem , very children friendly"

"Yooji's provides freshly made packaged informal dine-in or take-away healthy Japanese meals. The menu includes noodles, sushi, sashimi, teriyaki chicken, salads, cold buckwheat noodles, edamame, and desserts. Kimche is available together with some twists on traditional Japanese food. Fish, seafood, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options are available.My favourite is a raw salmon, avocado, edamame and quinoa salad, the quinoa being a twist in river but rice is also available. That option contains generous quantities of salmon as well as the plant based accompaniments.We enjoyed a meal in the informal eating space and another as a take away at a local park.I found the food tasty but felt guilty about the amount of packaging so quickly and inevitably thrown away."
