"I went with some friends to try this new place and we will definitely be back!The staff is super friendly and everything we ordered was excellent.I highly recommend the starters mix (suppli, olives, mozarella...) and the fried vegetables (verdure fritte alla romana).For dessert, I tried the Rotolo with Nutella. Delicious!Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!"

"We visited Balthazar one evening prior to attending the symphony. We arrived early, let our waiter know we had an event, and asked him to keep us on schedule. He was great at pacing the meal service and had us out right on the dot...(which was good because otherwise we would have stayed a couple more hours to enjoy the wine). We chose to sit inside by the large windows to enjoy watching the people walking by while staying warm. The outside has several tables under umbrellas if you want but it was a bit cool when we visited. We both started with the Romaine lettuce salad which was excellent. Our mains we the Black Angus Fillet for my wife and Stuffed Guinea Fowl for me. Her steak was cooked to perfection and she really enjoyed the accompanying potatoes. My Guinea Fowl was tender and flavorful with excellent herbal seasoning. We finished by splitting a piece of semi liquid chocolate cake decadently rich. Accompanying the meal were varieties of wine (I prefer white and my wife prefers red) from the excellent wine list that Balthazar has."

"There were loads of empty tables so we asked to move to a table closer to the window but they would not let us because it was “the calm before the storm”, when we left there were still loads of empty tables. Decent wine, average food. Updated review to respond to the TV tower below; We were never told that we specifically had booked the inner table when we were there (which would have resulted in a greater understanding from our side) and we would happily have paid the additional €3 per person to sit at one of all the empty tables by the window if we had been given the option (tables which were clearly not reserved for the specific times we where there)."
