"Genuine and authentic Indian food! The owners are themselves from the area of Punjab and from this area are also the dishes and recipes. My unbeatable favorite among all Indian restaurants in Düsseldorf is the Butter Chicken! Services are also very friendly. The restaurant is cozy in Indian style. Absolutely nothing to complain."

"The restaurant’s decor is a jumble of styles and objects. Pretty standard for an old school Indian restaurant, where very little effort or money go into the furnishings. The menu has all the usual dishes you could find in an Indian restaurant. The waiter(assuming also...owner) was friendly enough. We ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, naan, rice. The food arrived within a reasonable time frame. Both the curry dishes were edible, but nothing to write home about and had it not been for the following incident I would have given this place a three star review, however… As I bit into my naan I noticed a black hair, not on top of it, but mixed in with the leeks in the naan. I called the waiter over and showed it to him to which he replied: what is the problem??? I pointed at the massive hair sticking out of it. The waiter took it away and had a fresh one made. The rest of the meal was uneventful. At the end the waiter came over and asked if everything had been ok, to which I replied that everything was fine except the hair naturally. I was shocked by his reaction “this is perfectly normal” he said “people make the food”. No apology or attempt to atone with a complementary soft drink, or perhaps not charging for the naan. It’s not about the couple of euros it cost, it’s about the gesture. So if you believe that because people make your food it’s normal and acceptable that various bits of the cooks end up in your food this place is definitely worth a visit. Otherwise the food, that doesn’t have hair in it, is simply not worth a special trip."
