"Welcome cordially. Beautiful atmosphere rather intimate. The staff is elegant. The service is cautious, methodical and quite quick it is pleasant. The choice of meat is interesting. The trims are good. Home baklava dessert is amazing. Strange incoherence: the doorman enjoins me to remove my cover before entering... Since then, I see several people with table caps!? However, the restaurant team is nice and smiling so that the experience remains positive."

"Hi guys, being a meat lover I always have a pit stop at Hippopotamus whenever I am im Paris. This time it was almost next to the Opera (walking distance, down Boulevard dea Capucined). Once again I was not disappointed. Had the 1kg (well we should discount the bone) Entrecote de Boeuf. Good quality as always. Quality of the meat Staff was friendly Not pushed to finish our meals and leave The price is reasonable (see the bill) Cant really find any. Meat has been good always over the years. They keep their standard. I recommend it. Enjoy!"

"We booked a reservation at the last minute for NINE people! When we got there, they quickly assembled tables and chairs for us. The entire staff was amazing. Our server spoke english, french, spanish, and Portuguese. She was super friendly, I had the duck confit it comes with a mushrom sauce and mushrooms, as well as rustic french fries REALLY good. Others with our group had burgers, who said it was amazing, and a couple (from Texas) had steak (chateaubriand) and really liked it. This was on a MONDAY, when it can be hard already to find a restaurant open. We will definitely be going back becuase it's within walking distance for us, and the place is friendly and lively."
