"My wife and I were staying at the nearby campsite. We 'd had a hectic day in Paris and got off the train just before 10pn, we were delighted to see the restaurant still open. We were greeted warmly by the owner. The decor is really nice and authentic very much in the style of English curry houses. Our service was excellent and it was a pleasant surprise to be able to drink Kingfisher beer in France. I had Chicken Vindaloo whilst my wife had Lamb and Mushrooms. Both were very nice and the mear was very tender. If like myself you are used to the 'hotter style ' English curries just mention it and the award winning chef will be pleased to accomadate to your taste. Will be happy to return if in the area again. I titled this 'Surprisingly Good ' because of my only previous experience of an Asian meal in France was nowhere near as good as this."

"We live very close by. We first visited the restaurant 4 years ago and were not completely convinced. We gave it another go recently (twice) and were very pleased with the quality of the food and the service on both occasions. Last night we returned home late from holiday and had no food in the house. It was nearly 11pm. I chanced going to New Jaipur for a take-way anyway. Although the chef had already left, they offered to make me chicken Madras with rice, and even asked if I wanted naan or chapati bread. That is what I call Service. Further more the food was delicious."

"We tested the restaurant for take-away sale. order placed on the phone without problem available 30 min after the call. When I arrived the order was being finalized and I was then offered a free drink of juice to wait. The pars are generous. We tested the butter chicken and gambas it was very good and the children (3 and 6 years loved nann were very good also with still a preference for nann chease and special rice with cashew nut is also generously served. we will recommend"

We recommend: eggplant and chicken tikka fritters for starters, butter chicken, and especially the palak paneer (spinach cooked with real Indian cheese) the best in the area!!!
