"The menu has, as one would expect, all the elements of the traditional French brasserie with crudites (seen here as Maman Blanc’s miscellany of salads) and Burgundian snails. But there are twists with, for example, an Avocado, Tomato and Greek Yogurt Salad. Annie and I were in full-guns mode though and opted to share the Selection Board – guinea fowl rilettes, milano salami, seared mackerel, apple and pear chutney, cucumber creme fraiche, carrot vinaigrette and celeriac remoulade. Yes, that was quite a starter but we were sharing remember. Though I have to say it was a pretty huge platter of food that I would have been happy to share by itself at lunchtime."

"Well this is a little oasis in Flackwell Heath ! Parking right out side the shop and the owner (and his wife? preparing stuff which is always a good sign , I ordered a medium kebab, chips and a can of Fanta the kebab was fresh and the older I get the more of the salad I try to eat *Cash Only* but you can wander up to the local Sainsbury’s…"

"Great gluten free options, and most excitingly for a gluten free person, they do gluten free onion rings. Everyone’s food was excellent, the service was fantastic. Highly recommend."

Although I lived in New Zealand, I was back several times when I visited the united kingdom. the British pub and everything she has to offer for young and old."

"Considering this is a pub in small village, you’d think the owner would be welcoming and encouraging towards potential customers we experienced the complete opposite. It was dead, despite being opposite the village fete (which is saying something), and we just wanted a drink outside, specifically in some shade. We moved a table no more than 2 metres under a parasol and received a sarcastic response from the owner, no hello or how are you; purely a ‘why are you moving my furniture around?’. We explained why, and he continued to be abrasive and said that we should move. He was so unwelcoming and even when we did an immediate u turn to leave and said not to bother, he didn’t seem surprised or bothered that he lost money based on a mindless task that didn’t affect him in the slightest."

"A beautiful pub, enhanced by the local cricket on match days. A wonderful place for a drink, and the staff were absolutely lovely, very nice and friendly. BUT Unfortunately the food let the side down, avoid anything cooked. Sharing platters were great, but the burgers were horrendous, and it took over an hour and a half for food. Have a drink, but do not eat here if you want a nice meal."
