All served in nice pots My husband had the chocolate pastry cake... amazing... try it if available You won't regret it We also bought their home made cape bread to take home. "The menu has, as one would expect, all the elements of the traditional French brasserie with crudites (seen here as Maman Blanc’s miscellany of salads) and Burgundian snails. But there are twists with, for example, an Avocado, Tomato and Greek Yogurt Salad. Annie and I were in full-guns mode though and opted to share the Selection Board – guinea fowl rilettes, milano salami, seared mackerel, apple and pear chutney, cucumber creme fraiche, carrot vinaigrette and celeriac remoulade. Yes, that was quite a starter but we were sharing remember. Though I have to say it was a pretty huge platter of food that I would have been happy to share by itself at lunchtime."

"Well this is a little oasis in Flackwell Heath ! Parking right out side the shop and the owner (and his wife? preparing stuff which is always a good sign , I ordered a medium kebab, chips and a can of Fanta the kebab was fresh and the older I get the more of the salad I try to eat *Cash Only* but you can wander up to the local Sainsbury’s…"

"We have eaten here many, many times. Our family know that for any special occasions they can take us here or buy us a voucher. My wife and I arrived at noon and had the place to ourselves. We both ordered the larger fillet steaks plus fries, sauces and onion rings. 3 mouthfuls into my steak and I had the worst pain in my chest, something similar to indigestion. I was slumped in my seat trying to remain calm while struggling for air. Obviously my wife was alarmed and concerned for me as I couldn't answer her questions: did I want an ambulance, discuss further how I felt. The person who had taken our order saw me and asked her if I needed anything. After 7 or 8 minutes and drenched in sweat I decided to get outside for air which I just about managed. I think that a piece of steak had lodged in me preventing me from breathing properly. Now this was no fault of the restaurant. However, once my wife had seen me sitting on a wall and trying to keep calm she went back in to apologise and settle the bill. We had not finished our drinks, and our plates of food could be clearly seen half finished. We paid in full just under £120. They had done nothing wrong but I do wonder if some type of discount could of been offered."

"This place is nice but I'm not sure about the food I ordered a chicken carvery roast from here about 2 weeks ago and I think they left my plate under a heat lamp for a while my Yorkshire pudding was cracking like a biscuit, my gravy was warm and my chicken was dried out. I can imagine that if I'd of got the food fresh it would have been lovely as my partners pork was cooked well and tasted so nice."

"A beautiful pub, enhanced by the local cricket on match days. A wonderful place for a drink, and the staff were absolutely lovely, very nice and friendly. BUT Unfortunately the food let the side down, avoid anything cooked. Sharing platters were great, but the burgers were horrendous, and it took over an hour and a half for food. Have a drink, but do not eat here if you want a nice meal."
