"If you are concerned about COVID, this place is not for you. The staff are totally cavalier about face masks, a precedent set by the owner who shows little regard himself. Only two staff wore tasks, one fully, the other under his chin. Paradoxically, the one who was wearing his face mask was barked at by the other staff members like he was some sort of village idiot. The mask issue is important as the interior space is very small and cramped. The cheap, low quality food is not worth the risk."

"Visited this pub by chance while in the area. Food was excellent, hot, fresh, well presented. All three of us enjoyed our meal. Staff were super friendly and kind to my father who has limited mobility. We all said we wished we lived closer. Would highly recommend to anyone."

"I've been a Papa John's devotee for some years, but standards seem to have slipped somewhat during my trips around the country during 2016. However, this certainly cannot be applied to the Durham store, during our recent hotel stay in the city. Ordered a couple of pizzas online, they were delivered bang on time, piping hot, and were absolutely spot on. Even the driver was very friendly and helpful. Has restored my faith in PJ's, worth another trip to Durham for the pizza alone!"

"The outside seating here is a new development for me and a welcome one. We enjoyed the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the glorious surroundings. Food and drinks were good and service was prompt. For my money the move to a system of table service makes it feel a little too formal."

"Should not really be on Happy Cow, but you can always get a vegan sausage roll or pasty. The VG cheese, sausage and baked bean pastes are delicious. I have to say that the VG cheese and ham long sandwiches are also quite decent."
