"Went in today at 2pm to grab a take away lunch. I ordered a chicken mayo sandwich and chai latte. Placed my order with one guy. Then a girl next to him; asked me if I wanted white or brown bread. Said brown. Then I stood back and let others round about order there’s no clear queuing system) Then customers behind me were getting their sandwiches before me. This point, maybe about 6 7 mins after my initial order I then got asked by one guy “what are you waiting on?” I finished my hot drink by this point. Then he mentioned to the girl making sandwiches, and she responded with “I’ve just made a load of sandwiches” and I was asked again by her if it was white or brown bread. Think they realised a mess up with a couple of take away orders already gone out. Got back to work, disappointingly to find my sandwich on white bread ... I called up and spoke to the girl and she just said it was busy and to come back in and I’d get a refund. I didn’t have time to get back there plus eat. Sandwich was advertised with marinated tomatoes, which I saw in the cabinet but the girl flung on just normal tomatoes too. When you’re paying between £3 6 for a sandwich; premium prices please don’t just do a half bothered job making it up when you realise you’ve forgotten my order : The girls attitude was pretty poor. I’ve used Roast for years and placed orders through our work, but it’s just a little frustrating ... if your using the iPad to process orders great, but maybe look at when times are busy, to manage how customers place orders and ultimately get them."

"The chef is Italian who prepares the food in a open kitchen. The food is very creative and delicious. Only one point I like less: the lemon is very present in the seafood or fish dishes, which makes a little too acid."

"I'm here, really good food! both had to start bruscheta. Nice. only negatiw for me were the discs of the raw garlic in it. we both had it. we had huh and stornoway blackpudding on kartoffelmash and berry jus that was fantastic and penne arabbiata was great. we ordered garlic bread that was massive! Maybe next time order half a part. great food, service and wine. hidden gem and will be back!"

"A quirky alternative interior which offers the most exceptional range of leaf teas. There is a limited selection of home made food the chickpea curry was tasty although it would be better with rice than pitta bread. Great for a tea lover who appreciates an unusual experience."

"A great place that is always attentive to children. my 5 year old enjoys especially the pizza that is made even better by making the amazing chefs always different shapes and allowing her to observe the process of making. this evening the application of an ingwerbread man was shaped margarita. local, fresh, child-friendly and inexpensive."

"They have 1 vegan pizza as standard 1 on the menu) which I think is £5, they usually have a vegan special and said they could make any of their veggie pizzas with vegan cheese when I visited last week they had a vegan brownie as well! Highly recommend, nice for a takeaway to eat in the botanics!"
