"We visited here and were happily impressed by the food served. I had a hummus, spinach and salad Ciabatta and my other half had a Buddha bowl. Coffee was good, as was the hot chocolate. We had a slice of the vegan chocolate cake, it was really nice and we managed to drag ourselves out before ordering another slice to take with us. We will def be back."

"Am visited for breakfast, myself my two little girls and two frenchies, we sat outside on the balcony and it was beautiful. The staff are lovely very friendly and welcoming, service at our table , I ordered two extra sausages for my dogs , these came out chopped up and in their own dog bowls . My youngest ordered beans in toast and a sausage , fantastic portion and she was happy , my oldest ordered a sausage sandwich, she said the bread was nice , and she’s fussy about sausage she ate every bit of sausage. I ordered the avocado and egg on toast the egg yolk was bright and beautiful the avocado was delicious with a slight chill kick perfect . I can’t recommend this cafe enough ! The coffee was lovely as well . I little bit of heaven in a very busy place/ beach front."

"First time in Scarborough and we were staying not far from The Hideout! Walked in off the street as a family of 4, the staff were really accommodating and managed to fit us in before the next reservation! Luckily we got to stay at our ease as they sorted something out! Friendly staff, really interesting decor and the food was lovely! The dessert special, Pistachio brownie with the works was to die for! Great food and drinks, great place and such friendly staff would recommend!!"

"The highlander is always so inviting that we come scarborough 3 times in year for motorcycle races and always a bee line for the highlander service is always on place, on we are made so welcome to eat is always before place in service excellent no complain if they have not tried it, they must."

"We were struggling to get anywhere to eat in Scarborough- really busy, so came across Cactus and gave it a go. It has previously been mainly a take away but has refurbished- really smart, clean and comfy and has a bar with seating and...restaurant seating. Food was great- I’m coeliac and had the chicken/bacon salad and it was really tasty no contamination so was fine. Kids had pizza/burgers all good. Really high quality food at a brilliant price we’d paid double the cost for a family meal at a pub the night before which wasn’t a patch. Wine was just under a tenner a bottle way cheaper than other places. Kids had choc fudge cake for pudding and we were given some delicious jerk chicken wings to try. Staff were excellent- friendly, relaxed and helpful. Great place. It’s compact but a real find."
