"We visited here and were happily impressed by the food served. I had a hummus, spinach and salad Ciabatta and my other half had a Buddha bowl. Coffee was good, as was the hot chocolate. We had a slice of the vegan chocolate cake, it was really nice and we managed to drag ourselves out before ordering another slice to take with us. We will def be back."

"The highlander is always so inviting that we come scarborough 3 times in year for motorcycle races and always a bee line for the highlander service is always on place, on we are made so welcome to eat is always before place in service excellent no complain if they have not tried it, they must."

"Lovely cafe just across from the beach on the south bay, with very kind and helpful staff. I had a nice toastie, chai latte and scone. We visited twice whilst on holiday and the owner made my little boy a sandwich to go even when they were closing up! Appreciated it very much. Toilets also nice and clean and baby/child friendly. Thank you!"

"We went in to get the cold out. no coffee present, but otherwise the friendliness of the personal or its service cannot fail. there is wheelchair access, much space to reach the pub. the menu was decent. the prices were reasonable and the place was very clean. we followed in two days because the personal was so courteous. the cake was on the small side, but delicious. the steak was beautifully cooked. mac n cheese was also great. will be definitiw next time we go to Scarborough"

"I ordered sausage and chips. The chips were fine, but this was the worst, most tasteless sausage I have ever encountered! My wife ordered a cheese toasted sandwich, and the only clue to it being cheese was the colour. NEVER AGAIN!"

"Popped in for lunch today. Lovely feel to this place. Friendly and helpful staff. Varied menu and plenty of choice for vegetarians and vegans. Portion sizes meant there was no room left for cake! Shame we shall have to go back!"

"Fantastic fish n chips, all freshly cooked, the portion size is massiw. sue that served us was very friendly, the fish is bought fresh daily directly from the harbour. in any case worth a visit. the big part was so big, even my fat buddy couldn't finish it. "
