"For such a nice looking restaurant, we were very disappointed in the food and service. We ordered tempura and it came out bread and lukewarm. Then, we ordered Peking Duck. They brought it to the table to carve it and we thought, OK, this is good . The server made two pancakes (tortillsa) for each of us and then took the remaining to the back where they stir-fried it with vegetables. It was the.most bizarre service ever. When it came back, the vegetables were undercooked and it had no flavor. The skin wasn 't crispy, but the meat was tender. Afterwards, the waiter brought one plastic tub for everything that remained, we asked about an extra tub and he said no, they couldn 't do that. We filled the first one and he arrived with a second, but no top. We were bagging it opened and he arrived with another lid. Then, we asked for the check and it was about 20 minutes before it arrived. We walked back to our room and decided to toss the leftovers along the way."

"Went there for a romantic evening not to be seated next to a trampoline and kids play structure. Probably would have been a completely different experience if we took the kids but not at all what we were looking for that night. Actually got up and left half way through as it was so noisy and not how we wanted to spend our evening."

"The lights in the restaurant were so dark, the menus are so small, especially the wine list was not to read. Maybe they want to have a flashlight for the guests to read the menu if they want the romantic ambiente. las luces del restaurante estaban muy oscuras, los menús son muy pequeños, especialmente la lista de vinos era imposible de emp. tal vez quieras tener una linterna para que los invitados mager el menú si quieres tener un ambiente romántico."

"We had yellowtail sashimi, tempura veggies, teppanyaki mixto and spring rolls. The spring rolls were filled with veggies and flank steak but there was very little steak. They were hot and crispy. Imelda was our server and she was pleasant and friendly. The food was fresh and seasoned well but not overly salty."

"We found Saku Sushi & Bar by accident as we were driving through Nuevo las year. We came with a group of 8 of us with some trepidation because no one was in the restaurant last January when we went, but we quickly learned that the staff was incredibly solicitous, the food was excellent and the chef was very creative with his use of the very fresh fish he served as well as his presentation of the sushi. We loved the food and the people running the restaurant were top notch in every area. We liked it so much we returned the following week with other friends and found ourselves back there two weeks later alone. Each time, we found new creations that were equally good if not better than our last visit. The portions are enormous and we always went home with a "care package." This restaurant is another culinary treasure in Puerto Vallarta - one of the reasons we have been going to PV for 20 years!"
