"I went to see the Philippines to see my Fiancée. She has never tried Indian food before. So I took here to the 5S Box. She absolutely loved it. Put it this way I was there for 7 days and we came here 3 times! Love the food, Love the atmosphere and Service was excellent. We even got to meet the owners. The nicest people in the world! "Claude's Café de Ville is a magnificent restaurant housed in an old mansion right in the busy city centre. It's a beautiful and tasteful oasis in a dusty,chaotic area of town. And the beauty of it all, the quality of the food actually matches the surroundings. It's such a pleasant surprise to find authentic, classy French food in this little corner of the world. During the holiday season Claude offers some really rare treats such as calve's head or couscous royale (with delicious merguez) on top of his standard menu. The foie gras at Claude's is small and pricy but truly sublime, certainly one of the best i've had in the Philippines. And i found the other items on his menu reasonably priced for the quality offered. Service is competent and attentive, a rarity in this country, and Claude himself watches over everything. The only negative thing i could say about Claude's is that the wine list exclusively French and therefore bad value. The house wine is good but at a hefty 1150 Php it better be and there are no better value new world wines on the menu. Nevertheless, the existance of a gem like Claude's in this remote, underappreciated city is very appreciated."
