"The French are snobbish and overly proud of their food, we all know that; therefore, when they herd towards a French place outside France, that is an unquestionable sign of high quality, d'accord? Location is prime, in front of the famous Praia da Luz in Foz district and the also famous bus line 500 stops right in front of it. Outdoors one can enjoy the passers-by on the promenade across the street, while indoors one is cosily tempted by so many irresistible choices of high-quality pastries, cookies, merengues, quiches and even bread (baguette and rolls) and milkshake, some with a taste of Brittany, since the baker is from that part of France. Neither quality nor prices can be compared to the also excellent Portuguese sweet treats but, hey, go there once and you shan't regret it: I dare you not buy a bag of macaroons or even a whole pie to eat at home or in your hotel room later!"

"It was located at residential area with very nice interior design. We noticed the lamps were very special as they are mid century which very much to our liking. We ordered pizza which they are famous for. Both the meat and vegetarian pizza tasted delicious."

"Walking around Matosinhos, looking for a restaurante with fresh fish in the display case and luckily, stopped here. Had a beautiful lunch outside, of fresh tiger shrimp and squid, salad and wine. Our waiter, Andre', was so personable and made the meal all the more...special. I agree with wine was way overpriced from other places we ate at during the week, but overall, we loved it and would go back again, anyway"

"The location and view of the sunset are perfect. The food was okay. The service however was not okay. We made reservations for a specific table for the ocean view which they confirmed. When we arrived they tried to put us at a different table and argued when we asked about it. In the end we got the table but they were rude to us the entire night. Unfortunately that took away from the overal experience."

"Went here after walking down to the lighthouse. Had a perfect little spot outside for a sandwich and drink. All the cakes and pastries looked amazing. Friendly staff and obviously popular with the locals which is a great sign."

"While we had to get out in porto for a fish dinner. there are many fish restaurants in matosinhos, located on the Atlantic coast, about 45 minutes drive from the inner city of porto with the subway/train. there are many small fish restaurants along the main road...(Rua herois de franca most of them have a covered outdoor dining area which is next to the grill. with tripadvisor we decided for fish dish. the server showed us the list of the day catch and we chose a few for a record. there was a lot of food, all grilled, and we enjoyed an evening with fish and Portuguese wine."
