"Don’t miss this! It’s heaven on earth. I know, expectations management and bla but it’s simply an incredible place! No words to describe quality, service and atmosphere. My surf folks who spent some time in the area highly recommended the restaurant and I actually got there with the highest expectations. Hoping for the best, as we are even though surfer buds quite picky. Nonetheless the Tuna steak (perfectly rare, as ordered) and the Octopus just blew my mind. Last but not least the chocolate cake treat... not to mention wine, beer and the laid back but highly professional crew. Simply 5 Obrigado!"

"Very friendly staff accepted our orders for lunch, despite being almost 3 pm fast service. Excellent view over the sea, nowadays quite busy because its beach holidays season. It must be a very nice spot to go lunch or dinner in Spring or Autumn. We had grilled pork cuts secretos and lagartos from animals breed on Alentejo porco preto . People in nearby tables were enjoying nice seafood dishes shrimps, clams, mussels . Nice draught/draft beer to go with the meal. Very good sweet rice and red fruits panna cotta were the desserts, and a good expresso to finish. Cost around 20 € per person. in summary, Iguarias do mar is a nice, no frills place to get a very good seafood or typical Portuguese meal, with very nice and friendly staff and at a decent price. Highly recommended."

"Food has to be honest. I took my parents to Popular restaurant for lunch today and the quality was just terrible. Paper thin defrosted picanha steak and a factory manipulated tuna, both served with mushy fries. What a shame. We’ve been eating great and honest food all over the country for the same price. I’m a well trained professional chef and I understand that food has just to be honest! Cost and product needs to have a balance, doesn’t matter how humble and how fancy a place is. And that was just sad! We were served an small plate of octopus salad as a couvert that we couldn’t finish in 3 of us, it tasted like it was sitting on the corner of the fridge for days. And we love octopus! I hope you guys take this seriously and upgrade your quality! The guest deserve that. Peniche needs that."
